The Soccer War
"The Soccer War" is a book by Ryszard Kapuscinski first published in 1978. The title term created by Kapuscinski and disseminated by the mass media concerned the conflict that took place in 1969 between El Salvador and Honduras. Stimulated by the media, the atmosphere of hostility between the countries found its terrible finale after Honduras lost the football match during the World Cup qualification on June 15, 1969. This illustration is a tribute to the genius of the Emperor of Reportage.
